About the Seal of Climate Literacy

The Seal of Climate Literacy provides a framework for recognizing student learning and leadership related to climate change. Each participating state operates its own Seal program independently within the national network. Diploma endorsements are conferred by participating State Departments of Education or Local Education Agencies in accordance with state-specific laws, policies, and requirements, which may also vary by district or school. Information presented on national and state Seal of Climate Literacy webpages is intended to support awareness and adoption — it does not establish program rules or confer eligibility.
