Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Seal available in every state?
No. The Seal of Climate Literacy is currently authorized in Colorado and expanding to additional states through policy adoption. If the Seal is not yet available in your state, you can request a briefing to learn how it could be introduced.
Who should request a briefing?
Briefings are best suited for:
- State policymakers and agencies
- District leaders and education administrators
- Industry and workforce partners
- Advocacy organizations
If you’re interested in advancing the Seal in your state, a briefing is the best place to start.
What happens after I request a briefing?
After submitting your request:
- The Lyra team will follow up to learn more about your state and goals
- You’ll receive an overview of how the Seal works and pathways to adoption
- Next steps may include connecting with partners, reviewing policy options, or planning implementation
Can students or teachers request the Seal directly?
No. The Seal cannot be implemented by individual students or teachers on their own.
Because it is a state-level recognition, it must first be adopted through state policy or education leadership.
However, students and educators can play an important role by:
- Raising awareness
- Supporting advocacy efforts
- Encouraging state and district leaders to explore adoption
